Why this evidence node matters
Section titled “Why this evidence node matters”Lotions, creams, butters, balms, oils, and active-containing formulas can differ in water content, emulsion system, viscosity, fragrance system, preservative system, package, and sensory behavior. Those variables determine what evidence is needed before warmed-use language becomes credible.
What evidence can support

- A conservative distinction between brief point-of-use warming, repeated warming, and sustained warm storage.
- A reason to pair formula compatibility with package, preservative, sensory-drift, and contact-temperature evidence.
What evidence cannot support
Section titled “What evidence cannot support”- It cannot prove that every lotion, oil, cream, balm, butter, active formula, or package can be warmed.
- It cannot support “formula-safe,” “preserves integrity,” “works with every formula,” or universal heat-ready language.
- It cannot make baby, pregnancy, eczema-adjacent, or sensitive-user suitability claims.
Minimum evidence object

- Warming method, target range, exposure duration, cycle count, and post-warming storage condition.
- Package and closure used during the test.
- Checks for separation, viscosity, odor, color, texture, dispensing, residue, and sensory drift.
- Preservative-system and repeated-use handling context where water-containing formulas are involved.
Claim boundary
Section titled “Claim boundary”Allowed wording can say that formula compatibility requires product-specific review. Stronger wording needs evidence for the exact finished formula, package, exposure condition, and public claim.
