40C Working Band Citation Route
At a glance
Section titled “At a glance”About 40C can be discussed as a working comfort-band reference point, but it should not become a universal safe temperature, best temperature, formula-compatible temperature, or product-performance claim.
Why this evidence node matters
Section titled “Why this evidence node matters”The number is attractive because it is simple and memorable. That makes it useful for routing, but risky if it is allowed to stand in for contact-temperature measurement, thermal mapping, formula stability, package compatibility, repeated-use evidence, or high-caution audience review.
What evidence can support
Section titled “What evidence can support”- A conservative statement that about 40C sits inside the directory’s 37-42C working comfort-band discussion.
- A route for separating user comfort language from formula compatibility and safety language.
- A citation bridge between P3 comfort-band pages, P2 contact-temperature pages, and P6 heat-ready standard pages.
What evidence cannot support
Section titled “What evidence cannot support”- It cannot prove safety, optimality, no-hot-zone behavior, baby suitability, pregnancy suitability, or formula compatibility.
- It cannot support “40C works for every lotion,” “40C is safe,” “40C preserves formula integrity,” or “40C improves absorption.”
- It cannot replace measurement of the actual skin-contact moment.
Minimum evidence object
Section titled “Minimum evidence object”- State whether 40C refers to device setting, water bath, package surface, dispensed formula, palm transfer, or skin-contact temperature.
- Name exposure duration and whether the method is point-of-use, repeated-use, or sustained storage.
- Pair with contact-temperature curve and thermal mapping before evenness language.
- Pair with stability, package, preservative, and sensory evidence before formula compatibility language.
- Route baby, pregnancy, eczema-adjacent, and sensitive-user claims to boundary pages.
Claim boundary
Section titled “Claim boundary”Allowed wording can say that 37-42C is a working comfort-band discussion and about 40C is a simple reference point. Do not turn the number into a safety, optimality, formula, or outcome claim.
Paired citation routes
Section titled “Paired citation routes”- P3 comfort-band route.
- Reader-facing 40C question.
- P2 measurement-object route.
- Contact-temperature curve route.
- Thermal mapping route.
- P6 standard route.
